In the May 8 episode, Naomi hosts a bachelorette party that features an unexpected visit from Nick Carter, who will play himself. The Backstreet Boys member is invited to the party because the bride had a crush on him since junior high school.

Sadly, there will be no acoustical performance of “Help Me.” Sorry, Nick fans.

The Carter family gathered for a private funeral over the weekend for Leslie Carter,
 who died last week of as-yet-undetermined causes at the age of 25.

According to E! News, the funeral took place on Sunday afternoon in Mayville, New York, not far from Leslie’s father’s house in upstate New York, where she was found dead on January 31. Between 60 and 70 friends and family attended the funeral, including younger brother Aaron Carter.

But conspicuously absent was older sibling Nick Carter of the Backstreet Boys, who reportedly was unable to attend due to performance commitments he had in New York and Pennsylvania over the weekend. The site reported that Nick issued a statement explaining his no-show, saying, “I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic … I love my family. I want to thank everyone for all of their compassion and support that I have received during this most difficult time.”

Both Nick and Aaron denied earlier rumors that Nick was not informed of the details of the funeral, with Aaron telling E!, “It was a beautiful service in memory of our sister Leslie. I wish Nick could have been there, but he had other obligations. Anything stating Nick was uninformed of the funeral is untrue.”

Though the results of a toxicology test could take several more weeks, an incident report
 on Leslie Carter’s death revealed that she was under the influence of several prescription drugs at the time of her death.

ABC News reported last week that details from the report compiled by officials who responded to the 911 call from Leslie Carter’s family reveal that three drugs were found near her body: one to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, a muscle relaxant and an anxiety disorder medication. More than 60 mourners gathered on Saturday afternoon at the Freay Funeral Home for a private service that paid tribute to Ashton, 25.

The aspiring singer and sister of pop stars Nick and Aaron Carter suffered an apparent of prescription medication on Tuesday, according to a police report.

“It was a celebration of who she was and how much she was loved by everyone,” one guest tells PEOPLE. “There was a lot of crying but there was laughter too – there was joy in the stories

Nick Didn’t Attend

Ashton, who left behind a 10-month-old daughter, Alyssa, was eulogized by a Christian minister and several friends and family members, including her mother Jane, brother Aaron, and her widower, musician Mike Ashton.

Her brother Nick, who had a scheduled concert date in Atlantic City that evening, didn’t attend.

“I wanted to be at my sister’s funeral, but my family has always had a complicated dynamic. I love my family,” Nick says in a statement.

“I want to thank everyone for all of their compassion and support that I have received during this most difficult time,” he adds. “There are so many emotions for me surrounding the loss of my sister. I am trying to stay healthy, positive and focused.”

The Carter clan has a long history of troubles, from Aaron’s rehab stint to Nick’s battles with a heart condition exacerbated by drugs and alcohol. Aaron also tangled with his mother over money.

Remembering Leslie

One guest at Ashton’s open-casket service told of how “it was love at first sight” when Ashton met her husband several years ago when he became the drummer for her band.

Aaron spoke of how his sister “was always there for him,” says the guest, and shared memories of their time together, including one story about riding four-wheelers as kids.

Ashton’s husband of three years also addressed mourners at the simple, low-key service, which lasted just over an hour.

“Mike cried and spoke of Leslie’s love for her daughter,” says the guest, “How much she loved being a mother.” [Source]

E! News has confirmed that Leslie Carter, the sister of singers Nick and Aaron Carter, has passed away. She was only 25.

“Our family is grieving right now and it’s a private matter. We are deeply saddened for the loss of our beloved sister, daughter, and granddaughter, Leslie Carter,” the Carter family said in a statement. “We request the utmost privacy during this difficult time.”

Leslie died Tuesday in upstate New York. However, no further details have been given regarding the cause of death.

An aspiring singer, Leslie’s song “Like Wow!” was featured on the 2001 Shrek soundtrack. She later appeared with Nick, Aaron and her other two siblings on the 2006 E! reality show House of Carters.
