A Backstreet Boy visits ‘90210’ — EXCLUSIVE

Posted by Nicky with No Comments

Another musical guest will stop by 90210 this season.

In the May 8 episode, Naomi hosts a bachelorette party that features an unexpected visit from Nick Carter, who will play himself. The Backstreet Boys member is invited to the party because the bride had a crush on him since junior high school.

Sadly, there will be no acoustical performance of “Help Me.” Sorry, Nick fans.

Carter’s previous TV appearances include 8 Simple Rules and American Dreams.

90210 has hosted lots of musical guests over the last year, including Train, All-American Rejects, Cobra Starship, Kellie Pickler, Theophilus London, Nelly and Snoop Dogg. [Source]

Nick Carter Gets It His Way In Pontiac: ‘A Spectacle With Music’

Posted by Nicky with No Comments

Nick Carter, 31, bad boy singer from the Backstreet Boys, is bringing a new tour February 10 to the Crofoot Ballroom in Pontiac to support his second solo album “I’m Taking Off.” Tickets are on sale here.

The show in metro Detroit is special because Carter agreed to a backstage visit with 30-year-old Sarah Cheek, a longtime fan who was recently diagnosed with fourth stage breast cancer — after her husband reached out and said it would be her dream come true. What should she expect?

“We’re just going to have fun,” Carter said. “It’s going to be a great experience… They ask questions, and you have to feel the situation out. You never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes they’re shy. Other times they’re open and want to know everything. You just have to fun with it. I’m a normal guy. To them it might seem like I’m not …But I’m a normal guy.” Read the rest of this entry »

Exclusive: Nick Carter Debuts ‘So Far Away’, Talks Backstreet Boys & ‘Glee’

Posted by Nicky with No Comments

Nick Carter just released his remix LP I’m Taking Off: Relaunched & Remixed and we have a first listen of So Far Away. We talked to the Backstreet Boys member about his new album, worldwide tour with New Kids on the Block and Matthew Morrison, and if Glee is in his future.

CB: Hey Nick! You have been all over the place, where are you calling us from?
Nick: Japan! Man it’s amazing over here.

Are the fans different over there? Have you had any crazy interactions yet?
They are similar in some senses. They are a little bit quieter during my shows – that’s just how they are. You can hear a pin drop because they’re really paying attention. You have to perfect yourself because you’re under pressure.

How has the tour been?
It’s great. We had about three gigs in Canada. I’ll be doing four more shows here and then in late January [starting on the 28th] to the 14th of February I’ll be playing shows in the states. The reception has been great, it’s been going really well. Read the rest of this entry »

Nick Carter on Staying Fit (and Beating Justin Timberlake in an Arm Wrestle)

Posted by Nicky with No Comments

Last week, iVillage hosted a spectacular exclusive concert with Backstreet Boy and solo artist Nick Carter. When the concert wrapped, we had a live interview and web chat nearby with the singer in the URBANFITT studio, run by iVillage fitness expert, the fabulous, Jane Clapp.

Jane has been following Carter’s career recently, especially since he has been promoting fitness as a force that has turned his life around. She had a chance to ask the buff hearthrob a few questions about his journey with exercise and how he keeps fit on the road.

You’ve been very open about how exercise and a healthy lifestyle helped you tackle your demons (addictions) in the past. Apart from working out to look smokin’ hot, what role does exercise play in your life now?
Exercise is the number one priority in my life. I’m sure you have heard the old saying, “you’ve got nothing if you don’t have your health.” This is true. I do at least 45 minutes of cardio a day and once I’m in the gym for about a week conditioned, I begin to lift weights. If I get tired of the same old elliptical machine I mix in sports such as basketball and tennis. You may not enjoy it at first but after about 2 weeks you begin to reset your body and form a new habit. Soon you will be craving the gym. Read the rest of this entry »
